ABOUT JB'S BARNYARD

Did you know, when you indulge in JB's Barnyard ice cream you are also supporting local farmers?

Yup! Although JB's Barnyard founders, Jared and Briley, have ambitions to make their ice cream on their own farm in Evansville, IN one day, JB's Barnyard currently sources their ice cream directly from a family farm in Bowling Green, Kentucky! Chaney's Dairy Farm has been milking Jersey cows since 1942. In 2003, Chaney's Dairy Barn was established as a place for guests to come visit the Chaney farm, enjoy a bite to eat, and of course, snag a scoop of their irresistible ice cream!

ICE CREAM

MADE

WITH

16% BUTTERFAT

What the heck is Butterfat and

why in the world is it in MY ice cream?

Butterfat, a natural fat derived from milk, adds rich flavor, smooth texture, and body to ice cream! Most ice cream is made with only a 12% - 14% Butterfat. The cows at Chaney's Dairy Barn are Jersey cows. Jersey cow milk is known for having higher percentages of Butterfat! Chaney's ice cream, is made with 16% Butterfat! That is why our ice cream is some of the creamiest ice cream on the market!

Pretty cool, huh?

So how did JB's Barnyard get connected with Chaney's Dairy Barn in the first place?

JB'S BARNYARD CO-FOUNDER WORKING AT CHANEY'S DAIRY FARM - 2013

Yup! That's young Briley working at Chaney's Dairy Barn while she was in college! It was her favorite job of all time.

Briley quickly fell in love with the cows.  Although after college Briley realized she couldn't bring the Chaney's cows with her back to Indiana, Jared and Briley soon realized they could bring back Chaney's ice cream!

Hence, JB's Barnyard's collaboration with Chaney's Dairy Barn was born!
